Ceftiofur (hydrochloride)

Intramammary sterile infusion for drying cow

• Composition: Each 8 g syringe contains:
Ceftiofur (hydrochloride) 500 mg
Oily base q.s. 8 g

Pharmaceutical characteristics: Ceftiofor is an antibiotic of the third generation of cephalosporins, which by inhibiting cell wall enzymes, prevents the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall and causes the destruction of the bacteria.

• Target species: : Cattle

• Indication: For the treatment of subclinical mastitis in dairy cattle at the time of dry off associated with Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, and Streptococcus uberis

Method and dosage:

• Shake the syringe before use.
• Wash teats thoroughly with warm water containing a suitable dairy antiseptic. Dry teats thoroughly. Milk out udder completely. Shake the syringe before use. Dry teats thoroughly. • Hypersensitivity to Cephalosporins should be considered.
• Warning: Avoid direct contact of this product with skin, eyes, mouth and clothes. Ceftiofur can cause mild to severe allergic reactions in some people. In case of contact with eyes and skin, immediately wash the eyes with water and the skin with soap and water. It is recommended to use protective gloves to prevent skin sensitivity.
• Keep out of reach of children.

• Withdrawal period:

• Avoid consuming milk until 30 days after delivery and meat until 16 days after the last treatment.

• Keep in below 25 °C and protect from sunlight and freezing.
