Intramammary sterile infusion for lactating cows

Pharmaceutical composition: Each 8 g syringe contains:
– Ceftiofur (hydrochloride) 125 mg
Oily base q.s. 8 g

Pharmaceutical specifications: Ceftiofur is a broad spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic that exerts its effect by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis.

• Target species: : Cattle

• Indication: (1) The treatment of clinical mastitis associated with coagulase-negative staphylococci, Streptococcus dysgalactiae and Escherichia coli (E.coli) and (2) the treatment of diagnosed subclinical mastitis associated with coagulase-negative staphylococci and Streptococcus dysgalactiae.

Method and dosage:

• Shake the syringe before use.

• Infuse the content of one injector in to each affected quarter. Repeat treatment after 24 hours. . For extended duration therapy, once daily treatment may be repeated for up to 8 consecutive days. In order to better absorb the medicine, after injection, massage the breast from bottom to top.

• Hypersensitivity to Cephalosporins should be considered.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use in dry period.
• . Avoid direct contact of the product with the skin, eyes, mouth and clothing. Sensitization of the skin may be avoided by wearing protective gloves.

• Withdrawal period:

• Milk: 3 days Meat: 2 days

• Storage:

• Keep in below 25° C, and protect from direct sunlight.

• 30 ×10 g intramammary syringes
• 30 syringes of 8 grams
