Composition: Each milliliter of oral solution contains 2 mg of avermectin.
Pharmacological characteristics and mechanism of action: Ivermectin belongs to the group of macrocyclic lactones, which acts as a GABA agonist. It is also connected to chlorine channels with glutamate input (gated-Glutamate channels chloride) and by increasing the permeability of nerve cells to chlorine ions and as a result of hyperpolarization of these cells, it prevents the transmission of nerve signals in the parasite and leads to paralysis and death of the parasite. Ivermectin is very effective against internal and intestinal parasites in horses. This drug is a good choice for controlling parasites in horses with a broad spectrum of effects and a wide margin of safety. Also, this product has a great effect against roundworms, lungworms and nasal parasites of sheep and goats.
